Admission Requirements
- Bachelors degree in a relevant subject within the last 5 years.. This may include (but is not limited to): biology, behavioural science, sports science, physiology, health science, or a health-related profession which ideally contains human anatomy and physiology.
- Minimum overall GPA of 3.0 on a 4 point scale; or B; or 73% (where pass mark is 50%); or equivalent.
- Experience of the research process and/or completion of an undergraduate dissertation.
- Personal Statement: You should exhibit a passion for and dedication to working with people. It’s important to recognize the applicable skills you possess that would qualify you as an excellent physiotherapist. Additionally, you should have a comprehensive understanding of the range of physiotherapy and ideally, have acquired relevant work experience.
- Academic reference.
- Work or volunteer experience in one or more relevant clinical settings.
- Students who meet the entry requirements above will be invited to attend a remote Multo Mini Interview (MMI).
- Students who are given offers must complete a police record check (Canadian equivalent to Disclosure and Barring Services background clearing check) and complete a health check and be declared fit to study and practice by the Occupational Health (OH) department before beginning their studies. Satisfactory immunization records must be provided which include the following vaccinations:
- MMR (measles, mumps and rubella)
- Meningococcal meningitis
- Diphtheria
- Pertussis (whooping cough)
- Poliomyelitis
- Tetanus
You will also be screened by the OH team for Chickenpox, Tuberculosis, HIV and Hepatitis B and C.

You’ll receive guidance from a dedicated tutor, collaborate within peer learning groups, and have access to an extensive array of online learning resources and discussion platforms. Furthermore, our custom-built rehabilitation skills labs serve as key venues for instruction.
Through self-directed study you will delve deeply into a chosen area of interest, honing your research and presentation abilities while gaining a better understanding of potential career paths.
You’ll embark on practice placements in diverse healthcare settings, ranging from acute NHS hospital trusts and community services to mental health establishments and private hospitals. These closely supervised hands-on experiences are vital for applying theoretical knowledge in real-world scenarios.
Assessment
We employ a variety of evaluation methods, tailored to the learning objectives set for each course. These methods encompass written assignments such as essays, posters, presentations, reflective pieces, and case studies, as well as practical assessments of your physiotherapy capabilities in both lab-based sessions and during placements.
In your second year of study, you will be tasked with preparing a research paper, reporting on a collaborative research project with your peers. Additionally, you’ll be required to craft a report outlining a proposal for enhancing current practice quality. Furthermore, you will compile a case study and a reflective portfolio to demonstrate your ability to handle complex situations in the context of physiotherapy practice. You will also have the opportunity to explore and present a topic of personal or professional interest at our annual student conference.

Horton Halls, situated in Tooting, London, is a purpose-built student accommodation complex associated with St George’s, University of London.
